Distinctive in spirit and design, Kitengela Glass is located on the edge of true Kenyan wilderness, 50 minutes (traffic permitting) from Nairobi city centre. People come from all over the world to visit, drawn by the antique art of glassblowing and the allure of this enchanting place.

Travel down onto the plains across rutted roads through scrubland & a ravine and you will be transported into another space and time.

Step into the workshops to discover art and watch the magic of glassblowing as it happens. Sip cappuccino at a funky, chunky mosaic table in the outdoor café. Surround yourself in a secret wonderland of sculpture, furniture & living designs that captivate and inspire.

Directions

From Nairobi, at Bomas of Kenya (Galleria Mall junction) take Magadi Rd.
Then left on Masai Lodge Rd., opp. Ola petrol station just before Ongata Rongai.

At about 1km (at the top of a small hill after some speed bumps), bear right on the tarmac @ waypoint one.

Take the next left at Manna Bible @ waypoint two.

You will pass Africa Nazarene on your right.
Tarmac ends here.

Carry on (over a metal bridge - tarmac briefly for this section) till the mosque just after Tuala township.
Take the first left after Tortoise Inn at waypoint three(Ignoring Google which will try to send you straight on at this point.) If you go under the SGR bridge you’ve gone too far.

Follow the signs to ‘Kitengela Glass’.

Google pin of your final destination here. Don’t use this first, or Google will get you lost. Only plug it in after you turn left at waypoint 3.
